AFI's Sing the Sorrow is the band's sixth studio album released in 2003. The vinyl version of the album was released as a double LP and features 15 tracks. The LP version also includes a bonus track not found on the CD version of the album. The vinyl comes in a gatefold sleeve with artwork by Pushead. The album was a commercial success, peaking at number five on the Billboard 200. It earned critical acclaim for its sound, a departure from the band's earlier punk and hardcore roots and a move towards a more melodic post-punk/gothic rock sound.
